The Historical Review Collection

The Historical Review Collection is a series of monographic publications brought out by Historical Review, the gazette of the Historical Association of Slovenia. The first publication issued in the Historical Review Collection dates back to 1980, with as many as fifty-one following suit by 2022. Focusing mainly on Slovene history, they cover the entire time span between prehistory and recent history. Originally, these publications were fairly modest in length; however, in time, we also published comprehensive monographs, consisting of upwards of 700 pages, two of which were published in German. Fifty-one volumes of the Historical Review Collection over more than forty years constitute a remarkable achievement for all of us involved in its publication. Nowadays, the Historical Review Collection is a well-established series of monographic publications in the Slovene historiography and we are trying our best that it will remain so in future as well.
